OZ Naturals Age Defying Tinted Sunscreen Review

I received the OZ Naturals Tinted Moisturizer with 30 SPF to review. Thanks to our Charleston weather (where it rains when it shouldn't and is sunny while I'm at work!) I was only able to use this product once.

I LOVE the fact that it is tinted. It allows me to even out my skin tone and provide some concealer type coverage while not covering my face to the point that sun cannot get through AT ALL. Let's be real, we all like a little bit of that sun kissed look on our cheeks but we can't achieve that if we go to the beach with full make up face! The tint may cause this to be my favorite sunscreen for my face. I'm lazy and will still likely use the spray on my arms and legs (I know, I know, they say it's bad for me. But that's a-whole-nother issue and not for this blog post!)

This has SPF 30 so it provides enough protection for my Italian-Greek skin from the harsh rays of the sun. I enjoy the smell and the fact that it doesn't have a chemical smell like so many other sunscreens out there. If you are looking for a nice sunscreen, specifically one with a tint, then I would recommend OZ Naturals.

Can a toddler have anxiety?

This is a question I hear often. Is it possible? Isn't that something that only adults have? Can a child so young experience anxiety?

Why? Why do we assume that anxiety is only for the grown minds? Would it not make sense for a child's mind to also experience anxiety? Maybe even more so than an adult? After all, they don't have the coping mechanisms we have as adults. It is much more difficult to reason with and explain what is going on to a toddler. It's not that they aren't smart. They are, they are so very smart but they just don't have that psychological development yet. They have not hit that part of life just yet.

I am having a hard time with friends while I deal with this. Either being talked down and treated like I'm overreacting (I offer you to try this for one day and let me know if you think it's an overreaction - I assure you when my best friend experienced it today she did not think my feelings were anything near an overreaction) or being told that they understand and get it. While I appreciate the sentiment it's just not accurate. They don't get it anymore than I get what it's like to have a husband leave for deployment, move around the country in the military, lose a child, go through a divorce, or live in a shelter with my child. I don't get that because I've never experienced it so I'm not going to pretend to get it. I will understand your right to your feelings but I cannot understand your feelings at all because, at the end of the day, I just haven't felt them.

Why am I posting about this? I'm not 100% sure to be honest. I feel like I'm doing it for a variety of reasons. I'm doing it because I'm hurting and I don't know what to do to help my daughter while I wait for our referral to see a specialist but I just need to get this off my chest, I'm doing it to help those around me fully understand what I am experiencing, and finally...I think I'm doing it so that the next parent struggling with a child with anxiety knows they are not alone. Because honestly, I feel alone. I work full-time and then I come home to my daughter. Like any mother does, I don't deserve a metal for that. But I see my friends getting together and enjoying time with each other and their kids and that hurts my heart. Because due to this anxiety it's hard for me to have friends around. They upset her. And in turn, it's hard for her to have friends. And my baby girl deserves friends. She doesn't deserve this life of us sitting at home in our bedroom because that keeps her anxiety at bay.

For two years I have put her needs before my own (well three really, if you include pregnancy) and I will continue to do so. However, I fear that I will be alone and never find someone. How can I when I know how she reacts with people..even when those people have been around her since she was born. What if I found someone and then she had anxiety every time she was around them? I feel selfish even thinking of putting her in a situation like that. If I were to find someone and that was her reaction to them then that would be it. I am her caregiver and could never knowingly put her in a situation where she is suffering from constant anxiety and crying.

So often we read and hear about dealing with a spouse who has anxiety issues. How to cope with that and how to survive it but we do not hear much about the life of a parent who has a child that suffers with anxiety. I hope that a fellow parent finds this and realizes they are not alone in this journey. There are others who experience it even though it's not talked about often.

Age Defying Moisturizer Sunscreen

I was sent the OZ Naturals Age Defying Moisturizer Sunscreen to try and review. I've only had a chance to use it once due to the crazy rainy weather we've been experiencing but I definitely like it so far.

It blended really well and did not leave my skin feeling greasy at all. It also has a nice smell that isn't overpowering like some sunscreens have. It contains zinc oxide and is 30 SPF. I like to get a tan but want my skin protected as well so 30 SPF is a pretty good amount for my skin. I'm of Italian and Greek origin so my skin already has a tan/olive complexion but that doesn't mean I shouldn't protect myself from sun damage and possible skin cancer!

It does contain 7.5% Octyl Methoxycinnamate which is the maximum you should be exposed to so that could be argued that it is not healthy for that reason. Each person needs to do their own research and choose what they are comfortable with regarding that though because I am not a medical professional nor a medical researcher so I cannot provide my opinions here.

Amara Organics Facial Toner Review

I received the Amara Organics Facial Toner to try in a spray form. I spray it before applying my serums and moisturizers at night after washing my face. I have been using it for about a week and a half and I've noticed a difference so I would say thus far it appears to work!

My only complaint is the smell though I believe that is more my preference than a product flaw. It contains witch hazel which I don't care for so clearly that's just me and not an issue with the product and it's effectiveness. It works so I can't complain about that! Not everything that is natural and works well is going to smell amazing to every person out there. You may love the smell while I don't but regardless I continue to use it because I feel it works great.

There are a lot of positives to this product that I think many of my followers would be interested in:

  • 100% natural and alcohol free
  • 1 year money back guarantee
  • Contains witch hazel, Vitamin C, and aloe
  • Plant-based ingredients making it vegan and cruelty free
  • Made in the USA
This product is also good during the day, not just at night. You can spray it on your face and it refreshes your skin throughout the day.

Trim Evolution Fruit Infuser Water Bottle Review

I ordered this Trim Evolution Fruit Infuser Water Bottle to help me drink more water at work. At first I was concerned when I opened the package because I thought the chamber in the center for the fruit was going to fall out when attempting to drink so I worried I would need another cup to pour the water in after the fruit infused in it. That was not the case though. Once the fruit was added to the chamber it was weighted and no longer slid around like it does when there is no water and no fruit in the bottle.

I LOVE the chamber size - it allows room for A LOT of fruit to be added. What does that mean for you? More flavor in your water!! I unfortunately did not get as much flavor as I could have but that is because I made the mistake of using frozen fruit. Why is that bad? you ask...well, because when the fruit is frozen it takes up more space. Once it thawed out I had space for TWICE the amount of fruit which was actually in it. So do not use frozen fruit! Unless you just don't want to add a lot of flavor..in which case frozen fruit is great because then your water is extra cold.

The lid is pretty awesome also because it makes it so easy to carry. You can just hold the lid and go as opposed to having to hold the very cold water bottle. I have sensitive hands so this is a major plus to me.

IntiMom Breastfeeding Cover Review

I received the IntiMom breastfeeding cover and was pretty impressed with the size of it. This cover should fit most women and their baby if they choose to cover.

I personally do not cover when I nurse my daughter (she hates anything covering her, even a blanket at bed time!) but I do love this for pumping! I have worked in an office setting where there were multiple women sharing an office and sometimes it was hard to get away from the desk and computer so pumping while working just had to happen. The cover makes it so much easier so no one has to worry about a little nip slip and everyone can be comfortable.

I also love the bag it comes with so you can just throw it in there when you are done and then toss it in your diaper bag (or pump bag! whichever you happen to need it for!). I definitely recommend this for any mother that chooses to cover while nursing or pumping!

Armful of Love Car Seat Cover

I received this beautiful Armful of Love car seat cover in a grey and white chevron print. I loved it because it's gender neutral. This works great for both baby and daddy/grandpa if they don't want to carry around an infant carrier with a hot pink cover on it. Ha!

It's made from muslin bamboo. I'm not sure if you've ever seen or felt muslin bamboo before but it is WONDERFUL for baby products (blankets specifically). It is so soft and very breathable. I live in the South so we definitely need something that isn't too heavy because you don't want baby to suffocate and sweat like under the minky covers.

I definitely recommend this product for any parents to be..it would make a wonderful gift for a friend or family member as well. The last great thing about this product? They are offering a LIFETIME WARRANTY! You just can't beat that! Seriously!
