My mornings are hectic. I'm usually running behind schedule and almost never have time to even think about breakfast. That's the life of most who work or are a parent...so let's combine that since I am a single working mom and just say the mornings are a tad crazy for me. Unfortunately, I am also that person that needs to eat or I am just mean. So that's just not a good combination if you think about it....a person with no time for breakfast who becomes mean when hungry.
The best way I can combat this issue is tossing some protein mix with almond milk and fruit for a morning smoothie. So when I had the opportunity to try out Zahler's Whey Protein Meal Replacement Powder I jumped on it. I decided to order it in strawberry since I already have chocolate and vanilla in another brand.
I mixed the strawberry protein powder with just almond milk for a simple shake. I wouldn't say it tasted bad but I honestly should have added a banana to the mixture because I don't care for plain protein powders in any brands (even my chocolate which I LOVE). So the normal person who enjoys protein mixes will definitely enjoy this. I will continue to use it in my smoothies but I will be sure to add banana and maybe another fruit to the mix.
The container says you can just mix it with a spoon but I am very lazy and just poured the ingredients into my single serving blender so it could do the work for me.
